Lauren Dixon. Where do we even begin? Known for her infectious laugh, devious smirk, and beautiful singing voice that echoed through the Mother Goose during karaoke, Lauren will be deeply missed. The Forum will not be the same without her. After all, who is going to fight for the rights of those who don’t have a voice: the trees?
One of Lauren’s greatest cultural impacts on not only The Forum community, but the Paideia community as a whole, was the famous photograph. A young Lauren, in pigtails and a pink sparkly shirt, stares at the camera with an intense look on her face. Even though Lauren won’t be with us anymore in Forum, this photo will carry on her legacy with us forever.
Lauren is soon departing for Furman University, where she will represent the Paladin as a strong knight just like she was in The Forum. We will mourn the loss of our very own Lorax, karaoke queen, and meme legend. Lauren was a true Forum O.G. member, spending all four of her years writing away and informing the people of Paideia with extremely important information, such as the next rising pop star. In her final issue, she has blessed us with an article about Zara Larsson.
While this is a goodbye for now, Lauren will live on forever in the hearts of every staff member.
