March 1 kicked off the celebration of the pre-wedding party for the Ambani family, the richest family in Asia. Anant Ambani and his betrothed, Radhika Merchant, will be married July 12 in Mumbai. The pre-wedding party was held in Jamnagar, India.

Mukesh Ambani, the father of the groom, has a net worth of $116 billion, making him the ninth richest person in the world. He got his fortune due to investments, and his son, Anant Ambani, is the heir to the family’s riches. Anant Ambani and his bride Radhika Merchant both come from powerful billionaire families. Merchant started as a professional dancer and is now a businesswoman.

The pre-wedding guest list of 1,400 consisted of Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, Ivanka Trump and many more stars. The celebration included a 40-minute performance by Rihanna. This was the first time she has ever performed in India. She performed some of her most famous songs including, “We Found Love,” “Work” and “B— Better Have My Money,” for which they paid her $6 million.

Even though the three day celebration was filled with billionaires, the Ambani family gave back to the community by hosting a local dinner for over 51,000 people who struggle with food insecurity.

Each day of the celebration had a different dress code theme: one of the days was jungle themed and many stars visited Ambani’s animal rescue shelter.

The venue was described as “Unreal, beautiful, and out of this world.” One of the attendees described the wedding as “the best weekend of my life” saying, “it was amazing to see Rihanna perform!” Many people are excited to see what the Ambani family will prepare for the wedding of the year in July.
