The 67th Annual Grammy Awards lit up the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on Feb. 2. It was a night to remember, with historic wins, dazzling performances, and powerful moments that resonated beyond music.
Beyoncé cemented her legacy, winning Album of the Year and Best Country Album for Cowboy Carter. As well as being the first Black artist to win in the country category, this was the first time Beyoncé has ever won either of these awards in her career. Kendrick Lamar had a monumental night as well, winning Record of the Year and Song of the Year for “Not Like Us,” which he later performed in his striking half-time performance at this year’s Super Bowl LIX.
Meanwhile, Chappell Roan took home the coveted Best New Artist award, solidifying her rising status in the music industry. Doechii also made waves, winning Best Rap Album for Alligator Bites Never Heal, becoming the third woman to receive the award in Grammy’s history.
The night’s performances were nothing short of spectacular. Shakira brought high energy to the stage with a medley of her biggest hits including “Ojos Así” and “Shakira: Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 53.” Charli XCX also brought the party atmosphere with a lively and vibrant performance featuring Julia Fox and Richie Shazam.
Host Trevor Noah used the platform to highlight the impact of the ongoing California wildfires, dedicating the night to those affected. With groundbreaking wins, unforgettable performances, and a balance of celebration and reflection, the 2025 Grammy’s proved why it remains music’s most anticipated night of the year.
