In the 2025 Paideia Ultimate Frisbee season, both the boys and girls teams have been carrying on Paideia’s exceptional legacy by impressing at tournaments and heading to their respective state championships. As the season is coming to a close, Paideia is only ramping up the intensity and aiming for the top.
The Paideia boys team has had a very successful season, currently following a strong performance in the AFDC Terminus tournament despite eventually losing to Lakeside High School. The team also traveled to Nashville to compete in the River Campus Classic against some very strong teams along the East Coast and finished with a 3-3 record. Paideia Gruel is set to have good chances for the state championship, although Lakeside, the number 3 ranked team in the country, may present a challenge. Despite this, the team is commited to keeping their focus on advancing as far as possible this year.
On the girls side, Paideia Groove has had an impeccable season so far and seems poised to breeze past the competition for yet another state championship win. The team is ranked in the top five in the nation for a reason, as they have consistently been blowing out teams in their region, including a 7-3 win in the Terminus finals, along with many 13-0 wins. Paideia Groove also traveled across the country to Seattle, Washington, for a tournament where they placed fourth, losing to Roosevelt High School, the top ranked team in the country.
As both teams prepare for their final push, the hype and excitement build around the teams. As usual, Gruel and Groove are expected to have a successful end to their seasons. Both teams look forward to the state finals match on April 27.
