Paideia Ultimate Frisbee had a great start to the 2025 season, and both teams seem set to finish the year with a bang. The girls claimed a great record from the previous year, going undefeated for the entire season, and the captains and team have high hopes of keeping that title.
This year, the girl’s team is focusing on giving back to the community through the New American Pathways program at the International Community School. This program focuses on teaching kids how to play ultimate frisbee, a great way to take the Paideia sport outside of the school. The team will play in the Terminus event in which the girls successfully won last year. Unfortunately, the boys team fell short last year, but both teams hope to secure multiple wins this year. The boys team also hopes to travel to Nashville to compete in the River Campus Classic Tournament while the girls are heading to Seattle for a tournament, hoping to bring home a win for Paideia.
One of the captains of Groove, Ashima Gadhi ’26, said, “This year’s team has had so much fun so far, and we’re all excited for the rest of the season. I’m really looking forward to playing in Seattle, and I think the competition is going to be really great.”
