With the overwhelming influx of action since President Trump took office in January, citizens may feel confused about what to believe, and how to engage with modern news. In light of the current political status of our country, The Forum remains dedicated to serving readers by providing accurate and up-to-date information while preserving balance and tackling issues from multiple perspectives. We will prioritize stories that concern the rapidly changing future of our country; in this edition, for example, we chose to cover many of the drastic potential or already made changes: tariffs, immigration, DEI, RFK, and the CDC.
We also acknowledge that while some students may be enthusiastic about the outcome of the recent elections and resulting executive orders, many are disappointed and fearful for what the future of our country holds. Paideia is often characterized as a progressive place, and The Forum is committed to reflecting our current community by integrating student perspectives into both news and opinion articles. We believe this is important as we want our community to feel heard and informed.
